Multiplier events in Lithuania
An Expert Panel Discussion was held in the conference room of Lithuanian Sport University on 10 September 2020. The discussion consisted of four main blocks: 1) Presentation of active engagement of older people for age-friendly environments and intellectual outputs of AFE Activists project; 2) Ageing people in a local community; 3) Volunteering with and for older people; and 4) Community services and secondary network of support. 11 experts and 5 community members, volunteers and participants of AFE Activists training made presentations on discussion topics and participated in Q&A sessions.
SIC chair Edita Satiene opened the event with the
presentation of the main activities in the project: the training, the study
tour to the Hague, the pilot activities planned and realised in Kaunas and in
partner countries, and the project publications. The project participants
shared their experiences of the training and the study visit to the Hague.

Namikė, the organiser of urban gardening community Šilainių sodai Evelina
Šimkutė, active community members introduced their activities, shared good
practices, discussed barriers and enablers for the participation of older
people.
Organisers of volunteer work from the Lithuanian Samaritan Society Kaunas Branch Sonata Sinkevičienė, telephone befriending service Silver Line Ieva Čerbulėnienė, women helpline Aušra Stankūnienė discussed the importance of volunteering in older age and presented the variety of possibilities as well as the advantages both for volunteers and the recipients of volunteers services. SIC volunteers Nijole, Marija and Irena shared their experiences.
The last part of the discussion about the social services and the secondary network of support raised the biggest number of questions.
30 participants attended the discussion arranged following the mandatory conditions for organising cultural, entertainment and other events set out in the Order No V-1921 of the head of the State Emergency Operations Centre. 80 printed handbooks (40 AFE Advocacy Handbooks and 40 AFE Experience Handbooks) were distributed to the participants. Specialists organising activities for older persons in Dainava Day care centre, older women’s club of the Lithuanian Samaritan Society Kaunas Branch and private day care centre Keturlapis Dobilas found the learning material contained in the Toolkit of AFE Advocacy Handbooks very useful for their work. They were not familiar with the concept of age-friendly environments. Non-formal agreements were made to present the idea of age-friendly environments to the visitors of the said day care centres and to encourage them to more actively express their needs and propose adequate solutions.
The second Multiplier Event took place along with the opening of the academic year of Kėdainiai U3A on 29 September 2020. SIC Project manager Edita Satienė gave a 30-minute presentation on the concept of age-friendly environments illustrated with good practice examples, shared the experience of the pilot training and demonstrated some of the learning tools. The project participants AFE Activists presented their activities and shared the challenges of implementing them in Kaunas. Learners of Kėdainiai TAU got inspired by the examples and expressed the intention to adopt some practices in Kėdainiai. 81 participant attended the event, 120 printed handbooks (60+60) were distributed. A workshop for potential AFE Activists in Kėdainiai is planned in spring 2021.

Ekspertų grupės diskusija vyko Lietuvos sporto universiteto konferencijų salėje 2020 m. rugsėjo 10 d. Diskusiją vyko pagal keturias pagrindines temas: 1) projekto „Už amžiui draugišką aplinką“ rezultatų pristatymas; 2) vyresni žmonės vietos bendruomenėje; 3) savanoriška veikla su ir dėl vyresnio amžiaus žmonių; 4) socialinės paslaugos bendruomenei ir antrinis paramos tinklas. 11 ekspertų ir penkti bendruomenių nariai, savanoriai ir AFE aktyvistų mokymo dalyviai skaitė pranešimus diskusijų temomis ir dalyvavo klausimų ir atsakymų sesijose.
SIC pirmininkė Edita Satiene renginį atidarė pristatydama pagrindines projekto veiklas: mokymus, pažintinę kelionę į Hagą, planuojamą ir įgyvendinamą veiklą Kaune ir šalyse partnerėse bei projekto leidinius. Projekto dalyviai pasidalino mokymų ir pažintinio vizito Hagoje patirtimi.
Šančių ir Petrašiūnų bendruomenės centrų vadovės Ina Kunavičiūtė ir Rita Namikė, miesto sodininkų bendrijos „Šilainių sodai“ organizatorė Evelina Šimkutė, aktyvios bendruomenės narės pristatė savo veiklą, dalijosi gerąja patirtimi, aptarė vyresnio amžiaus žmonių dalyvavimo kliūtis ir palengvinančias aplinkybes.
Lietuvos samariečių draugijos Kauno skyriaus savanoriško darbo organizatorės Sonata Sinkevičienė, draugystės telefonu tarnyba „Sidabrinė linija“ Ieva Čerbulėnienė, moterų pagalbos telefonas Aušra Stankūnienė aptarė savanorystės svarbą vyresniame amžiuje ir pristatė savanorių galimybių įvairovę bei privalumus. savanorių paslaugų gavėjai. NAK savanoriai Nijolė, Marija ir Irena pasidalijo savo patirtimi.
Paskutinė diskusijos dalis apie socialines paslaugas ir antrinį paramos tinklą kėlė daugiausia klausimų.
30 dalyvių dalyvavo diskusijoje, surengtoje laikantis privalomų kultūros, pramogų ir kitų renginių organizavimo sąlygų, nustatytų Valstybinės skubios pagalbos operacijų centro vadovo įsakyme Nr. V-1921. Dalyviams buvo išdalinta 80 atspausdintų projekto leidinių. Specialistams, organizuojantiems Vyresnio amžiaus žmonių veiklas organizuojantys specialistai teigiamai įvertino leidiniuose pristatomas metodines priemones. Susitarta pristatyti amžiui draugiškos aplinkos koncepciją ir pagyvenusių žmonių dienos centruose ir paskatinti jų lankytojus savo idėjomis ir veiksmais prisidėti prie amžiui draugiškos aplinkos kūrimo.
Antrasis rezultatų sklaidos renginys įvyko kartu su Kėdainių TAU mokslo metų atidarymu 2020 m. rugsėjo 29 d. SIC projekto vadovė Edita Satienė pateikė geros praktikos pavyzdžiais iliustruotą 30 minučių pranešimą apie amžiui palankios aplinkos koncepciją, pasidalino bandomųjų mokymų patirtimi ir pademonstravo kai kurias metodines priemones. Projekto dalyviai AFE aktyvistai pristatė savo veiklą ir pasidalijo iššūkiais juos įgyvendinant Kaune. Kėdainių TAU narius pavyzdžiai įkvėpė ir buvo diskutuojama kaip panašios praktikos galėtų būti įgyvendintos Kėdainiuose. Renginyje buvo per 80 dalyvių, išdalinta 120 atspausdintų vadovėlių (60 + 60). Seminaras potencialiems AFE aktyvistams Kėdainiuose planuojamas 2021 m. pavasarį.
